Chiropractic for Tradies

Tradies and manual workers often find themselves working in positions that put real strain on the body. It’s part of getting the job done but over time, it can take a toll.

At Langwarrin Family Chiropractic, we regularly hear stories of people pushing through the early warning signs, hoping things will settle on their own. But those small issues can build gradually, until one day they stop you in your tracks and become something much harder to ignore.

We understand that taking time off isn’t always practical, and that your body carries a significant daily workload that adds up over time. Our role is to support you in managing that load, helping you stay at work, and addressing concerns early before they become bigger problems.

Your work often involves sustained strain on the spine and joints, repetitive movements, awkward positions, and heavy lifting often all at once, and for long hours. These demands can accumulate in the muscles, joints, and spine, sometimes without immediate symptoms, but always developing in the background.

What we commonly see:

  • Lower back pain from lifting, bending, twisting and prolonged physical work

  • Acute back episodes, the kind that stop you in your tracks on the job

  • Neck pain, headaches and shoulder complaints from sustained postures and overhead work

  • Knee and hip pain from kneeling, squatting or working on uneven ground

  • Sciatica and referred leg pain from disc or joint irritation

  • Cumulative strain from years of physically demanding work

  • Low back pain and stiffness during long drives to and from work

  • That’s exactly the goal. Many of our trades patients come to us specifically to manage pain and maintain function so they can keep working. We focus on practical, sustainable care that fits your work demands.

  • It’s never too late. Chronic occupational back pain is something we work with regularly and there is almost always something that can be done to improve how you feel and function.

  • To accommodate tradespeople who need to be on site early, we have morning appointments that start from 8am and afternoon/evening appointments that go to 7pm.
