Chiropractic for Lower Back Pain
Lower back pain is one of the most common complaints we see at LFC and it rarely tells the whole story at first glance. Whether yours has come on suddenly after a heavy lift, built up gradually from years of physical work or simply appeared one morning for no obvious reason, our practitioners take the time to understand what’s really driving it before recommending a plan.
Lower back pain can arise from joint restriction, muscle imbalance, disc irritation, pelvic asymmetry, postural habits or a combination of factors, which is why a thorough assessment is always our starting point. We’re not interested in simply managing your symptoms. We want to understand the cause and work with you on addressing it.
What we commonly see:
Acute lower back pain from lifting, bending or twisting
Chronic or recurring lower back pain
Lower back pain from prolonged sitting, driving or desk work
Disc-related lower back pain with or without leg symptoms
Sacroiliac joint pain and pelvic-related lower back complaints
Occupational lower back pain in trades and manual workers
Lower back pain in parents from carrying, lifting and bending
-
This varies from person to person depending on the nature and history of your complaint. After your initial assessment your chiropractor will give you a realistic picture of what to expect and how many visits they recommend as a starting point
-
It’s never too late. Chronic lower back pain is something we work with regularly and there is almost always something that can be done to improve how you feel and function. We’ll give you an honest assessment of your situation and what we believe is achievable.
-
Disc-related lower back pain is something we assess and manage regularly. We’ll discuss what we find and whether chiropractic care is appropriate for your specific presentation and refer when needed.
