🧱 The Realities of Physical Labour

You wake up in the morning & already feel stiff & sore before you even take your first steps out of bed. You have your breakfast, head to the front door to put on your boots, you grunt & groan to bend down to zip them up or maybe you cannot even bend anymore & you now have to sit down to put your boots on.

You get into your car & you have the heated seats on trying to warm your joints up. The drive to work has your low back & shoulders feeling uncomfortable & you haven't even started work yet!

  • You wake up stiff and sore before the day has even begun.

  • Bending to put your boots on feels like a workout or maybe it’s not even possible anymore.

  • The drive to work leaves your back and shoulders aching before you’ve lifted a single tool.

  • You crank the heated seats just to loosen your joints and get moving.



⚙️ Your Body Is Your Most Important Tool

The physical demands of your job requires your body to be willing & able, however for so many tradies this slowly becomes less & less over time. Just like many tools, if you take care of them, give them a good environment to live in, they will be something you can rely on & this is the same for your spine & nervous system. If you continue to abuse it, you will lose it. 

  • Just like your tools, your body needs regular care and maintenance.

  • When looked after, it performs, supports, and sustains you through the toughest jobs.

  • But when ignored or pushed too far, it starts to break down.
